Hi there, I'm Cristina, an old-fashioned traveller
Cristina miceli
Born in a small town in the north of Italy among vineyards and rolling hills, I never imagined one day I would eat overcooked pasta with my bare hands from a plastic bag. The joys of travelling! But how did it all start?
Let’s go back to 2019 when nobody knew the difference between ‘pandemic’ and ‘epidemic.’ At the time, my Bachelor in World Literature was coming to an end, and I had no idea what to do with my life. Yet, there was something else on my mind. The sudden realisation that my lifetime savings (a whopping €800!) were not enough to buy a Harley Davidson as previously planned. What to do?
A solo trip seemed the best choice. Your first solo trip is a bit like your first love. Incredibly intense and full of ups and downs. Once it’s done, going back to your previous life is impossible. You’ve changed, and you’re now stuck with this new version of yourself. Of course, I cried like a baby on my flight back home (the free wine didn’t help). That emotional crisis was the first sign of something deeper. I finally knew what I had to do in my life: travel. On the 6th of August 2021, I took my backpack and left for an old-fashioned travelling journey I’m still living today.

“You need a country, if only for the pleasure of leaving. A country means not being alone, knowing that in the people, in the plants, in the land there is something of yours, that even when you are not there, it remains waiting for you.”
Cesare Pavese
Do You Want To Travel Full-Time?
Contact me! It is way easier than people think (If I’ve done it, so can you!). Remote work is now common, and if you’re willing to be a bit flexible about your job position, you will find plenty of opportunities.
Trust me, travelling is cheap if you know how!
